Thank you for taking the time to stop and have a look at Christopher Pipes. Please feel free to drop me a note with a question or just to say 'hello'.
Please have a look around the gallery page. I decided to leave the gallery page as is and not to add to it. It's waaaaay too much work.
Pipes that are currently for sale are on the Available page and I will be adding to this page as other pipes are ready.
A word about pricing. I also make/turn wood bowls, rolling pins, live edge bowls candle holder sets etc.. A few years back an old timey bowl turner gave me some good advice. He said, 'Don't underprice your work. Do not undercut your prices for the sake of a sale. If you do that you are undervaluing not only yourself but it is also a reflection on other bowl turners. Price your pieces fairly and in that way you will be proud of your work and customers will also be proud to purchase your work.'
I use Maple at times because I have an extremel difficult time stocking briar. I use what I can. Maple has rather a subdued grain, but it is hard and very heat resistant.
I started pipe smoking in 2015 and started making pipes in 2017.
Once again, thank you for stopping by.
