This smooth bent Dublin has some nice grain. There is a small cosmetic flaw on the rim. This particular piece of briar started out as a block of Grade 1 Grecian plateaux briar. I worked it and worked it on the lathe and finally decided to leave it 'as is'. It is cosmetic only and does not affect the smokability of the pipe. Personally, I would rather have a pit or flaw in a pipe I own, rather than a fill.
